Metro Ride A bunch of stars including Riyaz-Tisha on PM Hasina's metro rail journey
Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 5 November 2023: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has inaugurated the train service from Agargaon to Motijheel section of Metrorail. She announced the inauguration by waving the green flag on Saturday. After that, the Prime Minister traveled to Motijheel on the Metrorail to inaugurate the Northern Route of MRT Line-5 at Motijheel Station.
At quarter past three in the afternoon, the Prime Minister sat in coach number 10 as a passenger of the second phase of the Metrorail. At this time all his companions boarded the train. A host of stars from the showbiz arena were seen on this inaugural journey. Actress Nusrat Imroz Tisha and Parthana Fardeen Dighi sit side by side and chat while traveling on the Metrorail. Riaz, Gazi Rakayet, Shahidul Alam Sachchu and many other stars were seen in other seats.
Metrorail will operate on Uttara-Agargaon route from 7:30 am to 8:30 pm on November 5. On the other hand, the Agargaon-Motijheel route will run for four hours only from 7:30 am to 11:30 pm.
Bangladesh's first Metrorail MRT Line-6 Uttara to Agargaon section was launched in December last year. The government is implementing the fast track project of constructing 21.26 km elevated metro rail line from Uttara to Kamalapur at a cost of Tk 33 thousand 472 crore.
