Actor Farooque Actor Farooque tests positive for Covid-19, admitted to hospital in Dhaka
Dhaka, November 17: Akbar Hossain Pathan Farooque, a time-honoured actor of Dhaka cinema and a Member of Parliament, has been infected with coronavirus. He was admitted to Kurmitola General Hospital at 6 pm on Monday.
Farooque's niece Asma Pathan Rumpa said the actor had recently returned home from Singapore after treatment.
For a few days he was fine. But when his health suddenly deteriorated, blood sample was tested for the novel coronavirus. There his report came positive on Sunday.
Farooque's wife Farhana Farooque's blood sample was also tested but returned negative result for Covid-19.
Rumpa said, "Uncle is in good physical condition. We admitted him to the hospital as an extra precaution as he had other complications in his body, on the advice of doctors. I want blessings from everyone for my uncle."
