Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 8: About 60 artists who lost their membership in the Bangladesh Film Artists Association (BFAA) came to the artists association last Wednesday (April 6).

They went there for Iftar. When they came, they were informed that actor Riaz would take oath as an executive member of the artists association. Everyone became very happy after hearing the news.

Riaz broke down in tears following the unjust cancellation of his membership during the election. He said that time, "Artists who have been working here for 40-50 years have been left out. They are like our guardian. If the Kanchan-Nipun panel wins, the cancelled membership will be returned to all."

Riaz broke down in tears while making these announcements. The artists also cried with him that day. A video of that moment went viral. Finally, Riaz took oath in the committee along with those fellow artists.

Meanwhile, after taking oath, Riaz announced that out of 184 artists, 103 were getting back their membership. As a result of actress Nipun's efforts and the hard work of the artists whose memberships had been cancelled, the court order was already in place. An official announcement also came from the BFAA on Wednesday. From now on, 103 members will get all the benefits including the right to vote as full members of the association.
