Waliul Haque Rumi Actor Rumi suffering from cancer
Dhaka, March 31: Small screen veteran Waliul Haque Rumi has acted in numerous popular dramas and movies. But now it is known that this actor has been suffering from colon cancer for a long time.
This is confirmed by the general secretary of Abhinaya Shilpi Sangh Rawonak Hasan.
He said, our beloved co-artist, popular actor Oliul Haque Rumi Bhai is currently under treatment in the hospital due to incurable disease.
He added, "We actors are by his side. He asked everyone for prayers."
According to family sources, the actor was first taken to Chennai, India. After the first treatment there, he was brought to the country. The actor is now in CCU of Square Hospital. In 1988, Rumi's journey into the acting world began with the play 'Ekhon Kritdas'. After gaining popularity in drama, he also acted in movies. In 2009, he worked on the big screen for the first time by acting in the movie 'Daria Parder Daulati'.
For the past few years, this actor has been acting mostly in the regional language of Barisal. He made the audience laugh in this language. Sometimes the audience cried after hearing his dialogues.
