Actress Kabori admitted to hospital after testing positive for coronavirus

Dhaka, April 8: Famous actress Sarah Begum Kabari, has been admitted to hospital after testing positive for the novel coronavirus. She is currently undergoing treatment at Kurmitola Hospital in the capital, after being admitted on the night of April 5.

According to hospital sources, Kabari had a fever this week and was in pain. Her reports came positive after undergoing Covid test.

Incidentally, Kabari, a girl from Narayanganj, made her film debut in 1964 with the movie 'Sutorang' directed by Subhash Dutta. After that, she acted in many timeless movies including 'Bahana', 'Titus Ekti Nodir Naam', 'Rangbaj', 'Sareng Bou', 'Sujan Sakhi'.

She has also produced and directed movies.

After 14 long years, she started making her second movie. Besides directing the film 'Ei Tumi Se Tumi', Kabari has written the story, screenplay and dialogues. She will also act in the film, which has been made with government grant. The name of the first movie directed by Kabari is 'Aina'.

The legendary film star is a former MP and is associated with the Awami League.
