Lal Sari Apu Biswas spent more than the donation in making 'Lal Sari'
Dhaka, June 24: Actor Symon Sadik and actress Apu Biswas have teamed up for the first time in the film 'Lal Sari'. The government-funded film recently received censor clearance without cuts. The movie is in the process of release on Eid. On this occasion, a press conference was organized in a restaurant in the capital.
Producer Apu Biswas has spent more than the amount received from the government on this grant film. Symon, the lead actor of the film 'Lal Sari' said so.
He said, "Complaint of embezzlement of grant money is old. But Apu Biswas did not do that. She invested more than the money she received as a grant and made 'Lal Sari'. Donations have already been invested, and they have added more investments."
Stating that the grant money is looted, the actor further said, "I have seen that 30 to 50 percent of the grant money is not used in the films. But the producer should add their own money to the grant money and make the film. All the films in our country This is not the practice in the case. But Apu believed. She invested extra money. All those who worked in this film are familiar faces. The producer has taken whoever is needed wherever she is."
'Lal Sari' will be released in the second largest number of theaters this Eid. The movie will be released in 30 theaters including Cineplex, Blockbuster. Shakib Khan starrer 'Priyotama' is on the first place in terms of hall bookings.
The story of 'Lal Sari' is arranged around a loom in semi-urban area. In it, Apu Biswas' character is named Shravani, who is the daughter of a weaver. And Symon Sadik's character is named Raju, who will be seen as a handloom worker. The film's story and dialogues are written by Tanveer Sidney. Screenplay and directed by Bandhan Biswas.
