Awami League Nominations Awami League nominates actor Ferdous
Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 28 November 2023: Popular film actor Ferdous Ahmed has been nominated by Awami League from Dhaka-10 seats to fight in the 12th National Parliament election with the boat symbol.
He collected the nomination form online. The party's general secretary Obaidul Quader announced the name of the boat candidate from the Awami League's central office at Bangabandhu Avenue in the capital on Sunday afternoon.
At least a dozen performers expect Awami League's nomination from the showbiz arena in the 12th parliamentary elections. One of them was hero Ferdous. He was directly involved with the political activities of Awami League for a long time.
Ferdous told the Dhaka Post on November 19, "I am waiting for the green signal from the party's high command. There are preparations to participate in the election in any one of the three seats. I will take steps as the party thinks best."
Earlier Ferdous had opted for nomination from Awami League for Dhaka-17 by-election. But at that time the party did not nominate him. Mohammad Ali Arafat, executive member of the party's central committee, was nominated by Awami League for that seat.
