Tahsan Khan Bangladesh singer Tahshan Khan appointed UNHCR goodwill ambassador
Dhaka: UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency, has appointed Bangladeshi actor-singer Tahsan Khan as the first goodwill ambassador from the country.
Tahsan Khan has been supporting UNHCR, the UN Refugee Agency since 2019 and was announced as Goodwill Ambassador in January 2021, reported UNHCR India website.
Tahsan visited Rohingya refugee settlements in Cox’s Bazar, Bangladesh, in June 2019 with support of UNHCR.
During the visit, Tahsan met with a number of refugees, witnessed UNHCR’s operation and deepened his understanding of refugee causes, read the website.
He shared his experience in Cox’s Bazar on a TV talk-show with fellow Goodwill Ambassador MIYAVI on World Refugee Day in 2019.
