Lipstick Darshana Banik dropped from Lipstick, Puja Cherry called in as replacement
Dhaka, June 23: Dhallywood debutant Adar Azad was supposed to be paired with Kolkata actress Darshana Banik. Later it is said that the heroine has been changed due to visa complications. Actress Puja Cherry will act in 'Lipstick' instead of Darshana. Abdullah Zaheer Babu, story writer and dialogue writer of the film, confirmed this to the media.
Darshana has opened up about the issue. She told Kolkata media Anandabazar Online, "I was first spoken to right. But I did not sign any contract. Then no one contacted me. I can't tell if it's for visa or any other reason. I have no idea about that movie."
Regarding the reason behind Darshana's omission from the film 'Lipstick', Babu said, "Our talks with Darshana Banik have been finalised. Everything was fine, but taking Puja cherry instead of Darshana due to visa complications. Puja is very happy to hear the story. Hope Pua will do very well in this story. Adar Azad will act opposite Puja in this movie."
Meanwhile, Darshana told an Indian media that the visa is not a complication, but the producer Abdullah Zaheer Babu. She was removed from the film as she did not agree to the bad proposal. It is known that the producer of the film went to Kolkata to talk about this film and sign the contract. Later when Darshana contacted to inquire about the film, she was given a bad offer. Darshana was deeply disturbed by the words.
She said, "I was supposed to get Zaheer Babu's movie signed when he came to Kolkata. I messaged to know when they would arrive. Then comes the counter offer. I ignored them and explained that I was uncomfortable with such proposals. After that no contact was made with me. Then suddenly I get to know that I have been removed from the role."
It is heard that very soon Darshana will be seen teaming up with Shakib Khan again.
