Own Correspondent, Dhaka, June 4: The film speaks about life. The film speaks about society, freedom and liberation. One can easily get an idea about a country and its culture by watching movies or documentaries. The importance of film for a society can be understood by looking at the former Soviet Union. At that time, they chose film as one of the tools of political movement and it was successful. So, film is one of the main tools of political and social movement.

State Minister for Culture KM Khalid made the remarks while addressing as the chief guest at the award distribution ceremony of '3-Minute-Film Competition and Festival 2022' organized by Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy at the National Gallery Auditorium of Bangladesh Shilpakala Academy here on Friday.

Congratulating the award-winning filmmakers, the chief guest said that receiving awards is not the main criterion for evaluating a film. It is like a matter of luck. Those whose fortunes favour, they get rewards.
