First song from Symon-Apu's Lal Sari released

Apu has paired up with actor Symon Sadik for the film. The movie has been directed by Bandhan Biswas.

The first song, Rong-e rong-e sang-e sang-e, was released on April 11. The lyrics have been penned by the director, while Emon Saha scored the music. Ayan Chakladar, Rabeya Setu, Russel Mridha and Jesse Mosharraf sang the song.

Bandhan Biswas said he's hoping that 'Laal Sari' will be released on Eid. He said, "We are fully ready to release on Eid. But since it is a government-funded movie, there is a matter of permission from the ministry. That process is going on. We will make an official announcement once we get the permission from the ministry."

"Laal Sari is the story of the weavers of our country. Bangladeshi sari was once appreciated outside the country. We have highlighted the lost tradition of Jamdani in this movie. A great job has been done," the director added.

Apart from the leads, Shahiduzzaman Salim, Sumit Sengupta, Dilruba Doel, Rasheduzzaman Apu, Shahed Ali and others have acted in the film.
