Dhaka, March 5, 2023: Discussions about Bollywood king Shahrukh Khan's 'Pathan' are still not stopping.

It has been heard for a long time that the movie will be released in Bangladesh like other countries of the world. But it could not be released due to some state formalities. But still trying to release the movie in Bangladesh.

Meanwhile, if the sub-continental language movie 'Pathan' is not allowed to be shown in the theaters of the country, there may be an announcement of closure of cinema halls at any time. This is what the leaders of Bangladesh Film Exhibitors Association said in a press conference on Saturday. A press conference was held at a restaurant in Iskaton in the capital on Saturday afternoon.

Awlad Hossain, General Secretary of Hall Owners' Association, said in the press conference, "Our backs are against the wall. We can't anymore. It will not be possible to save the hall if the cinema of the subcontinent does not come. 19 film-related organizations have received a green signal from the Ministry of Information due to the written application, but the written approval has not yet been received. So there is doubt about the release of 'Pathan' in the halls."

This hall owner leader claims that the order to close the cinema hall may come amid various frustrations. Even after he got the verbal consent, the people concerned also raised the question why sub-continent movies including 'Pathan' are not coming.

In today's press conference, Mirza Abdul Khalek of Lion Cinemas said, "The government may not want us to run cinema halls. If he wanted, he would have paid some attention to us. Our condition is not very good. If this continues, we will have to sit on our way. In the last 10 months, 40 movies have been released in our halls. These movies managed to bring a total of 53 thousand viewers. 36,000 viewers have seen 'Hawa' and 'Paran' among them. The condition of other movies is worse.”

Mirza Abdul Khalek also said that a government-funded movie was released yesterday. Only 12 viewers have seen it. How will it continue like this?
