One Eleven India's Swastika Mukherjee in 'One Eleven' movie
Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 10 October 2023: Swastika Mukherjee acted in a movie in Bangladesh in 2008. She was seen opposite Shakib Khan in the film titled 'Sobar Upore Tumi'. It was released in 2009. After that, a long time passed, but Swastika was not seen in any other movie. Finally, with Kamrul Islam Rifat's 'One Eleven', this acclaimed actress from Kolkata will join the Bangladeshi cinema again.
Director Rifat confirmed this information. He said that a contract has already been signed with Swastika. Swastika has always been strict, selfish in her choice of characters and films.
When asked what he prioritized while signing the film 'One Eleven', she said, "I have a strong desire to work in Opar Bengal and it has been for many years. I worked for the first time in 2008. After that, I talked to many directors-producers, exchanged scripts. , but it was not done right, not everything was done with bat-ball. Kamrul Rifat sent me the story of 111 in 2021. I read the story for the first time in this whole pain of covid. And since 2021, I have been in touch with Kamrul Rifat and his team. Then I read the script. Read several drafts, discussed the characters, had several meetings on Zoom calls and kind of got the hang of it. So I'm working on it. Hopefully it will be a good job."
He also said, "I will not work in any role tied to the past. And I will not work in the roles that the audience has seen me in. Because I do not want to repeat myself at all. I always want to come in front of the audience in a completely new way. That Be it a new character, be it clothes, be it looks. My character is completely new in 'One Eleven' too."
The actress underwent a complicated surgery in early September. She said that she is doing well now. As well as the way she surprised everyone by playing a grey character in the Netflix film Qala, it is hoped that she will surprise everyone with a new role in the movie 'One Eleven'.
