Kora Pokkhir Shunnye Ora to feature in Kolkata International Film Festival
The recently released movie 'Kora Pokkhir Shunnye Ora' has been nominated in the 'International Competition: Innovation in Moving Image' category at the 28th Kolkata International Film Festival.
It is known that the Kolkata International Film Festival (KIFF) will run from December 15 to 22. Director Muhammad Qayyum will go to Kolkata on the first day to participate there. The film's director Muhammad Qayyum confirmed this to the media. Apart from this, the information has also been confirmed on the official website of the festival.
Muhammad Qayoum said that 1 thousand 78 films from 57 countries were submitted to the festival this time. Out of which 180 selected films will be screened. He said, 'I will go to Kolkata on the 15th. It is a matter of great pleasure for me that the film has been nominated for this festival, it is also a matter of pride for our country.'
The film Kora Pokkhir Shunnye Ora, made on the story of the life struggle of the laboring people of Haor region of the country. The whole movie has been shot in Sunamganj, the largest Haor region of the country. Jayita Mahalanbeesh and Ujjwal Kabir Himu played the two main roles in it.
Apart from this, Abul Kalam Azad, Sumi Islam, Samia Akhtar Barshi, Badal Shaheed, Mahmud Alam and many others have acted in important roles. The movie was released in only one theater in Dhaka on November 4. Later, Kora Pokkhir Shunnye Ora was released in a theater in Chittagong.
