Work Permit Ministry of Information and Broadcasting cancels Sunny Leone's work permit
Dhaka, March 11: Under the banner of Messrs. Chairman Film Syndicate, 11 foreign artists got work permits to act in the upcoming film 'Soldier'. The Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has canceled the work permit of Bollywood actress Sunny Leone.
This information was given in a letter sent from the Film-1 branch of the ministry to the producer of Messrs. Chairman Film Syndicate Md. Selim Khan on Wednesday.
It said that under the banner of Messrs. Chairman Film Syndicate, a total of 11 people, including 10 Indian actors and crew and American actress Karanjit Kaur Weber, were allowed to come to Bangladesh to work in the film 'Soldier'. American actress Karanjit Kaur Weber's work permit has been revoked due to unavoidable reasons.
It is learned that Sunny Leone's real name is Karanjit Kaur Weber. Her citizenship is mentioned as American. Her US passport number was given in the application. Earlier, Sunny Leone was supposed to come to Bangladesh in 2015, however, she was not allowed to come in the face of protests from Islamic organizations.
Other foreign actors in 'Soldier' are Kaushani Mukherjee, Rahul Dev Kaushal, Rajesh Kumar Sharma, Rajatava Dutta, Bharat Kaul, Shanti Lal Mukherjee, Kharaj Mukherjee, Vikram Anand Saberawal, Debashish Mukherjee and Supriya Dutt.
