He said Mithila was going to the United States in the first week of May to take part in the competition. The visa process is underway for him. Her national costume is being worked on. Grooming is also going on. A video titled 'Beautiful Bangladesh' is to be made, the work of which will be completed in the next three days.
The main event of the 69th Miss Universe 2020 pageant will be inaugurated on May 16 in the United States. Before officially announcing the name of Mithila as the contestant of Bangladesh on behalf of Miss Universe, there was a controversy over a video interview of her on Facebook. After announcing Mithila's name as 'Miss Universe Bangladesh-2020' on April 3, the video of one of her interviews given in 2016 has gone viral.
In the interview, he said, they also posted the video on Facebook by secretly recording the video in the men's toilet. Some have protested on Facebook, calling the incident a "harassment".
Although Mithila apologized in the face of the cannon, Miss Universe Bangladesh director Shafiqul Islam described the video as a 'fun video'.
