Adarsha Hindu Hotel Mosharraf Karim to play Hajari Thakur in web series adaptation of Adarsha Hindu Hotel
Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 14 September 2023: Mosharraf Karim is hugely popular with Kolkata audiences outside Bangladesh. Because of this, this Bangladeshi actor is working in one after another in the other side of Bengal. He last worked in Bratya Basu's 'Hubba' movie. Now it is known that he will work in a new web series called 'Adarsha Hindu Hotel'.
It will be directed by Arindam Sil based on one of Bibhutibhushan Bandyopadhyay's novels of the same name. Karim will be seen in the role of Hajari Thakur, the main character.
According to Indian media, the character of Poddo will be played by actress Ananya Chatterjee. Thespian Debshankar Halder will play the role of Bechu Chokkoty.
Sil said he envisioner Karim while writing the screenplay for Hajari Thakur. He said after contacting Karim for the role, the actor agreed.
The principal photography was scheduled to start in September, but has been pushed back to January due to logistical reasons.
Hajari Thakur is a middle-aged brahmin, who is a cook. He dreams about opening his own hotel. Both Hajari and Poddo work in Bechu's hotel. The story is about the life and down of these characters.
