National Film Awards National Film Awards announced: Siam, Deepanwita best actors
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, February 16: The Ministry of Information has announced the names of the winners of the National Film Awards. The list was published in a notification of the Ministry of Information (Film-1) on Tuesday (February 15). This year, Siam Ahmed has been awarded the best actor for the lead role in 'Biswasundari' movie and Deepanwita Martin won the best actress award for playing the lead role in the government-sponsored movie, 'Gor'.
According to the circular, the National Film Awards will be given in 27 categories including best actor-actress, singer-songwriter and director this year as usual. This year, Anwara Begum and Raisul Islam Asad are getting lifetime achievement awards.
Government-sponsored movie 'Gor' and 'Biswasundari' have jointly won awards in the best film category. 'Arang' is getting the award for the best short film and 'Bangabandhu's political life and the rise of Bangladesh' is getting the award for the best documentary film.
Gazi Rakayet Hossain won the Best Director award for 'Gor' and Deepanwita Martin won the Best Actress award for the same film. Actor Siam Ahmed is getting Best Actor award for 'Biswasundari' movie.
Fazlur Rahman Babu is winning the National Film Award in the Best Supporting Character category. He is getting the award for his great performance in the movie 'Biswasundari'. Best Actress Aparna Ghosh is getting award in the best supporting role (female) category for the film 'Gondi'. Actor Misha Saudagar, popular for playing negative roles, is getting award for his film 'Bir'.
Mugdhata Morshed Riddhi is getting the award in the best child artist category for her performance in 'Gondi' movie. Md. Shahadat Hasan Bandhan who acted in the movie 'Arang' is getting special award in the category of child artist.
Gazi Rakayet Hossain is getting the award for best story and best screenplay for the film 'Gor'. Fakhrul Arefin Khan is getting the award in the best dialogue writer category for the film 'Gondi'. Md. Shariful Islam wins award for Best Editor in movie 'Gor' and Uttam Kumar Guha is getting Best Art Director award for the same film.
