Bengali Drama Porshi to star opposite Kolkata's Rishi Kaushik in Sajin Ahmed Babu's next drama
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, April 21: Popular Bangladeshi singer Sabrina Porshi has acted in a drama after a long time. The name of the drama is 'Maria One Piece'.
Kolkata actor Rishi Kaushik is starring opposite her in the drama. The drama is written and directed by Sajin Ahmed Babu.
Director Sajin Ahmed Babu said, "Since Parashi is from music background, I was a little worried about how she would play the lead role. But after taking the first shot, I was fascinated."
Regarding her acting in the drama, Porshi said, "I have acted before. However, this is the first time I have acted in the main female character of the drama, and that too opposite Rishi Kaushik, a popular actor of West Bengal. I hope the audience will take me as their own."
Porshi earlier acted in Shamim Ahmed Rony's film 'Mental' with Shakib Khan. She also acted in plays at the very beginning of her career.
Meanwhile, Rishi Kaushik is very popular actor in Bangladesh too for his TV serials in Kolkata including 'Ekhane Akash Neel', 'Isti Kutum', 'Mukhosh Manush' etc.
He also acted in Bangladeshi dramas before. He acted in 'Chilekothaar Bhalobasha' drama with Safa Kabir, 'Physics Chemistry Math' with Apurba-Sabila Noor and 'Ei Mon Tomarai' with Tasnia Farin.
Apart from Porshi and Rishi Kaushik, Kazi Ujjwal, Mom Shiuli, Samia Nahi, Tanha Tabassum Priyanka and Madhu Talukder have also acted in 'Maria One Peace' drama.
It is learnt that the drama 'Maria One Piece' will be aired on RTV this Eid.
