Priyotama Shakib-Idhika's 'Priyotama' to release in 9 more countries
Dhaka, July 10: After its release in the US and Canada, 'Priyotama' starring Dhakai movie star Shakib Khan and Kolkata actress Idhika Paul is releasing in nine more countries. The movie released this Eid and the audience are loving it. On Sunday night, the director of the movie, Himel Ashraf, published this information on the social media Facebook.
Director Himel Ashraf wrote in his post, "After America and Canada, Priyotama is going to release in Australia, Dubai, Saudi Arabia, Abu Dhabi, Bahrain, Qatar, Oman, Malaysia, India and Sweden. We are in talks with more countries. Today is the 11th day of Eid, and is an office day, even then, most single screen were housefull in the evening. Twenty-three shows aired at Star Cineplex on Saturday with almost all shows being houseful."
He also wrote, "From Bhola's Char Fashion to New York's Jamaica Multiplex, audiences everywhere are talking about Priyotama. Because Priyotama is a movie for the general audience. They are the ones watching and promoting 'Priyotama'. All Eid movies are doing good business, and let them continue doing well. No one can take anybody's business. One will get whatever it deserves."
This movie, which was released in 107 cinema halls across the country, has already projected more than 3150 shows within seven days of its release, due to audience demand. Priyotama earned Tk 10 crore 30 lakhs in one week.
This year's Eid-ul-Azha, five Bengali movies were released in theaters. Shakib Khan starrer 'Priyotama' received the most hype even before its release. The movie is produced by Arshad Adnan. Kolkata actress Idhika Paul acted opposite Shakib Khan.
