Masud Rana Tk 83 crore Bangladeshi movie to be released in 151 theaters abroad
Entertainment Reporter, Dhaka, 24 August 2023: 'MR-9: Do or Die' based on Masood Rana is releasing in 151 theaters in USA and Canada. Aliullah Sajib, president of the film's international distribution company 'Swopno Scarecrow', informed this news. In this context, he said, 'Our movie will be played simultaneously in more than 150 theaters in America and Canada, this incredible event is now a reality.
Meanwhile, the production company Jazz Multimedia claims that the movie 'MR-9: Do or Die' has been made at a cost of Tk 83 crore. The movie is releasing simultaneously in the country and abroad on August 25. A press conference was organized at a hotel in Dhaka to mark the release of the movie.
In the press conference, Abdul Aziz, the owner of Jazz Multimedia, said that the English version of 'MR-9: Do or Die' has received censor clearance. It will run from August 25 in all cineplexes across the country. If the Bengali dubbed portion gets censored by Thursday, it will also run on single screens this week. Otherwise it will continue from next week.
The movie 'MR-9: Do or Die' is produced by Bangladeshi origin Hollywood director Asif Akbar. Apart from ABM Sumon, Sakshi, Frank Grillo and many others acted in the movie.
Meanwhile, Aliullah Sajeev, president of Swopno Scarecrow, the international distribution company of the movie 'MR-9: Do or Die', wrote in his Facebook post, "We have never reached the benchmark of 100 theaters before." The movie 'Paap Punya' was released in 91 theatres. Then 'Hawa' was released in 88 theatres. This time it has exceeded 100 and has also exceeded 150. What makes the incident even more significant is that despite such a massive release, Regal doesn't feature a single theater in the list. But all our movies have a significant number of theaters at the time of their release.
He also wrote, this time too they had requests from several theaters. But due to unavoidable reasons, they are unable to run 'MR Nine: Do or Die' this week. If it could, then where the number of theaters would have been, it is surprising to think. However, 'MR-9: Do or Die' still has a chance to increase the total number of theaters. Because Regal has said that it will run the movie from September 1 even if not on August 25.
