10 mega projects given maximum priority in Budget FY 2021-2022

Dhaka, June 4: The Rooppur nuclear power plant construction project is at the top of projects with the highest allocation in the ADP of FY 2021-22.

About Tk 18,426.16 crore has been allocated for this project in the next financial year.

The Matarbari Ultra Super Critical Coal Fired Power Project with an allocation of around Tk 6,162 crore is in the second position.

In the third position is the Primary Education Development Program (PEDP-4) project. About Tk 5,053.98 crore has been allocated for this project.

In the fourth position is Dhaka Mass Rapid Transit Development Project (Line-6). It has been allocated about Tk 4,800 crore, Padma Bridge Rail Link (First Amendment) project has been allocated around Tk 3,823.51 crore and Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Railway Bridge construction about Tk 3,580 crore.

The government's dream Padma Multipurpose Bridge Construction (Second Amendment) project has received around Tk 3,500 crore.

The Dhaka-Ashulia Elevated Expressway construction project has been allocated around Tk 3,227.20 crore, the Expansion and Strengthening of Power System Network under DPDC Area Project has been allocated around Tk 3,051.11 crore and Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport Expansion (Phase I) (First Amendment) project has been allocated about Tk 2,827.52 crore.
