Awami League's Joint General Secretary and Information Minister Dr. Hasan Mahmud said.

Hasan Mahmud said, 14 years ago the per capita income of people was 600 dollars, now the per capita income of people is close to 2900 dollars.

14 years ago we were lagging behind Pakistan in all indicators, 6 to 7 years ago we surpassed Pakistan in all indicators. India has overtaken India in terms of per capita income in economic indicators amid the Corona pandemic.

Asking for the cooperation of journalists. Hasan Mahmud said in his speech that this is an election year, journalists shape public opinion, shape people's minds. The upcoming election is a very important election for the country and the nation. Because the election will decide whether the country's progress will continue.

Or the country will be backward again.

The Information Minister said that journalists are not supported by state funds in any country of the sub-continent like the way journalists are being supported by the Journalists Welfare Trust. The way journalists have been helped by forming a special fund during the Corona period has not been done in any country in the subcontinent. Journalist Welfare Trust is an institution conceived by Sheikh Hasina. Journalist Welfare Trust stands as a place of trust for journalists.

He said, in fact, Bangabandhu's daughter Sheikh Hasina is a journalist-friendly leader. His government is a journalist-friendly government. That is why journalists are being supported through Journalist Welfare Trust. Apart from this, the Prime Minister occasionally supports journalists from his discretionary fund.
