Dhaka Trade Fair Dhaka International Trade Fair to end on Monday
Dhaka, January 29: The Dhaka International Trade Fair, which is taking place at Purbachal by following the hygiene rules set by the government, will end on January 31.
Md. Iftekhar Ahmed Chowdhury, Secretary, Export Promotion Bureau (EPB) and Director, Fair, said at noon on Saturday, "However, the fair is scheduled to end on January 31. The fair time is not increasing anymore. The closing ceremony of the fair will be held on the last day. The presence of buyers during the holidays was noticeable, as a result of which the traders have benefited a lot."
Earlier, on January 25, the Covid-19 National Technical Advisory Committee recommended the closure of trade fairs and postponement of book fairs due to the massive increase in corona infection. However, the trade fair activities were still going on.
The five-point emergency directive issued by the cabinet last Friday to prevent coronavirus infection said that masks must be used in all kinds of public gatherings including markets, mosques, bus stands, launch ghats and railway stations. The administration or law enforcement will monitor the matter. Earlier, on January 10, a notification was issued by the Cabinet Division with 11-point instructions.
