Manmohan Prakash has indebted us by keeping us involved in the development journey: Finance Minister about outgoing ADB country director
Dhaka, October 5: Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal says Bangladeshis are forever grateful to the family of Asian Development Bank (ADB) Country Director Manmohan Prakash.
"His heroic father fought for the independence of Bangladesh as a member of the Indian Air Force. And through his outstanding service of four years, he has indebted us by involving himself in the development journey of Bangladesh," Finance Minister said while addressing as the chief guest at the farewell function of ADB Country Director Manmohan Prakash at Pan Pacific Sonargaon Hotel in Dhaka on Monday.
"Manmohan's intelligence and visionary thinking on contemporary global development issues is truly astonishing, which is undeniable. Relations between Bangladesh and the ADB have reached a new height with Manmohan's unwavering support for Bangladesh year after year. Even if Manmohan leaves us due to a change of official duties, he will always be with us because he has won our hearts and minds through his work," the Finance Minister said.
Welcoming the newly appointed ADB Country Director Edimon Ginting, the Finance Minister said, “He is a new member of our team. You will get all kinds of cooperation from us. I hope he will also become our genuine friend by involving himself in the development journey of Bangladesh."
