Toll Collection | Padma Bridge Padma Bridge: Record toll of Tk 3.16 crore collected in 24 hours
Dhaka, July 3: A record of Tk 3 crore 16 lakh 53 thousand 200 toll has been collected on Padma bridge in 24 hours. During this period, 26,398 vehicles have crossed the bridge. This information was given on Saturday (July 2) by the Executive Engineer of Padma Bridge Md. Abul Hossain.
He said vehicles are moving uninterruptedly through the Padma bridge. A total of 26,398 vehicles crossed the bridge on Friday. The toll collected was Tk 3 crore 16 lakh 53 thousand 200.
According to the Padma Bridge Authority, the toll collected on the first day was Tk 2 crore 9 lakh 40 thousand 300. On that day, 51,316 vehicles travelled on the bridge.
On the second day toll of Tk 1 crore 97 lakh 45 thousand 820 was collected. On this day 15 thousand 429 vehicles moved through the stretch.
On the third day Tk 1 crore 94 lakh 58 thousand 100 toll was collected. On this day 14 thousand 493 vehicles moved on the bridge.
On the fourth day Tk 1 crore 92 lakh 92 thousand 800 toll was collected. On this day 14 thousand vehicles passed through the bridge.
On friday, Tk 1 crore 51 lakh 11 thousand 100 has been collected from Jajira edge on Friday. A total of 12 thousand 597 vehicles travelled on the bridge. On the other hand, Tk 1 crore 65 lakh 42 thousand 100 toll has been collected through Mawa. Toll was collected from 13,801 vehicles at this end.
