Registration to be launched next month to restore trust in E-Commerce

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, January 20:�To bring stability in the E-Commerce sector, the registration process through Unique Business ID (UBID) will be launched next month.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak said this. He said UBIID and Central Logistics Management System (CCMS) for digital business registration will be launched in February to bring stability in the digital commerce sector. And in March, the digital inter-transaction platform 'Exchange' will be launched. In addition, Central Logistics Tracking Platform (CLTP) will be launched later.

The state minister was speaking at a press briefing at the ICT department's conference room on Wednesday (January 19). Earlier, he took part in a meeting to review the current progress of construction of platforms and initiatives under construction at the initiative of the Ministry of Commerce and with the technical assistance of the ICT department aimed at stabilizing the e-commerce sector.

The state minister said, "All digital traders need to register with UBID. Through this, those who are doing business based on Facebook will also come under registration. If there is any complaint through any registered organization, it will be settled through CCMS."

He said, "The lack of trust, credibility and transparency in digital business will be eliminated by building a strong platform using technology."

A2I Policy Advisor Aneer Chowdhury, A2I Technical Head Rezwanul Haque Zami, and representatives from various ministries and E-Commerce organizations were among the attendees in the review meeting presided by ICT Department's Senior Secretary NM Ziaul Alam.
