Rice Price Rice prices to go down
Dhaka, August 25: The price of rice has already started to come down, the price will come down further when the nationwide OMS and food friendly program is launched on September 1. Food Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder expressed this optimism in response to the questions of journalists after the high-level meeting of the government on food import at the Secretariat on Thursday (August 25).
When asked what was decided in the meeting, the food minister said, "What has been discussed today, for comfortable payment for comfortable import, everything that needs to be done is clear. That's enough."
When asked what the comfortable thing is, he said, "You keep looking empty, wheat will keep coming, rice will keep coming."
"The price of rice has increased, will it decrease or not?" the minister said, "It is decreasing."
When told that the price of rice increased in the last week, he said, "What increased last week is decreasing. We are expecting that it will decrease after giving OMS from September 1."
