Dhaka, February 13: Awami League general secretary Obaidul Quader has claimed that no one has the right to question the resolved issues of the liberation war. He made the remarks at a regular virtual briefing at his official residence on Saturday (February 13).
Ziaur Rahman's state title to be cancelled
Dhaka, February 10: The titles of four freedom fighters of Bangabandhu, including BNP founder and former president Ziaur Rahman, are being canceled. The 72nd meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council (Jamuka) on Tuesday recommended the cancellation of their state titles.

Freedom fighters do not have the opportunity to re-enlist
Dhaka, February 5: Thousands of people are still contacting various offices for new names to be included in the list of freedom fighters. There are allegations against officials taking money from them in the name of getting their names on the list. It is mostly taking place in rural areas, however, the government is yet to take a decision on enlisting the heroic freedom fighters anew.
Freedom Fighters' draft list to be published on February 15
Dhaka, February 2: The draft list of heroic freedom fighters will be released on February 15, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said on Tuesday. It was supposed to be released on the first week of February, the minister had said earlier.
Muktijuddho Mancha demands immediate reinstatement of 30 percent quota for freedom fighters in jobs
Dhaka, February 1: There have been human chains and rallies demanding immediate reinstatement of 30 per cent quota of freedom fighters in the service, preparation of transparent final list of freedom fighters and end of harassment in the name of screening of freedom fighters every year. The program was held on Sunday (January 31) in front of the National Press Club under the banner of Bangladesh Muktijuddho Mancha.
Rally to demand suspension of the screening process of the heroic freedom fighters
Dhaka, january 26: Bir Muktijoddha Oikya Mancha has demanded the postponement of the verification and selection process of the freedom fighters on January 30. At a rally in front of the National Press Club on Tuesday (January 27th), the leaders of the organisation demanded that the Prime Minister suspend the screening process.
Government thinking of listing allies of freedom fighters
Dhaka, January 18: The government is thinking of listing the people who helped the freedom fighters during the Liberation War in 1971. After the list of freedom fighters is finalised, it will be considered whether the list of freedom fighters' associates can be made, said Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque.
Demand for reinstatement of Muktijoddha quota within a week
Dhaka, January 16: There have been protest rallies and human chains in the capital demanding six points including reinstatement of Muktijoddha quota in government service within a week. The event was held on Friday (January 15) in front of the National Press Club under the banner 'Children and Generations of Freedom Fighters'.

Change in the time of verification of heroic freedom fighters
Dhaka, January 6: The date of verification and selection of civilian gazettes published by the heroic freedom fighters has been changed again without the approval of the National Freedom Fighters Council (Jamuka). Verification and selection work will be done on January 30 instead of January 9.
50 Freedom Fighters to tour nation with national flag
Dhaka, January 4: To mark the golden jubilee of independence, 50 heroic freedom fighters will travel around the country with national flags. After touring 64 districts, they will return to Dhaka on December 16 and hand over the flag to the new generation of delegates.
Freedom fighter Ayesha Khanam passes away
Dhaka, January 2: President of Bangladesh Mahila Parishad, heroic freedom fighter, eminent woman leader Ayesha Khanam has passed away. She breathed her last at Bardem Hospital in the capital on Saturday morning. Ayesha Khanam was 74 years old.
