Burial places of 20,000 martyred freedom fighters will be preserved

Dhaka, June 19: The burial places of 20,000 martyred freedom fighters and other freedom fighters will be preserved and developed.

In response to a question presented on the table by Md. Habib Hasan, a member of the government party in Parliament, on Sunday, Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque said this.

He said, for the preservation and development of the burial places of martyrs and other late heroic freedom fighters, the conservation and development of the burial places of martyrs and other freedom fighters (1st Amendment) is under implementation under the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. Under this project, 20,000 (twenty thousand) grave sites will be preserved and developed.

The minister said that under the Ministry of Liberation War, 13 war memorials have been constructed under the project titled 'Preservation and Development of Significant War War Sites'. Apart from this, the sites of Samukh Samar are being preserved under the project titled Preservation of Historical Places of Liberation War and Construction of Memorial Museum (1st Revised).
