Change in the time of verification of heroic freedom fighters
Dhaka, January 6: The date of verification and selection of civilian gazettes published by the heroic freedom fighters has been changed again without the approval of the National Freedom Fighters Council (Jamuka). Verification and selection work will be done on January 30 instead of January 9.
A notification from the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on Wednesday (January 7) informed about the change of date.
Earlier, the screening was scheduled for December 19, but that date was changed to January 9. This verification and selection is being done as part of publishing the list of real heroic freedom fighters. The decision was taken at the 71st meeting of the National Freedom Fighters Council held on December 3.
The list of 39,981 heroic freedom fighters has been published on the website of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs out of those whose names have been included in the civilian gazette as heroic freedom fighters without the recommendation of Jamuka in violation of Section 7 (i) of the National Freedom Fighters Council Act, 2002.
The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs said, "If the name of a heroic freedom fighter is included in the Indian list or Red Muktibarta or 33 types of evidence recognized by the Ministry, he will be out of the scope of verification. Forget the name of any such heroic freedom fighter published in the verifiable list If so, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has requested to contact the office of the concerned Upazila Nirbahi Officer / Deputy Commissioner's Office in the case of the metropolis on January 30 at 10 am with suitable evidence to remove the name from the list.
