Muktijoddha List Correction of freedom fighters list by March 15
Dhaka, March 5: The government will release the final list of heroic freedom fighters on March 26. Therefore, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has given a deadline of March 15 to correct the informational errors of the freedom fighters listed online. On Wednesday (March 3), the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs sent a letter to all the Deputy Commissioners (DCs) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNOs) requesting them to rectify the mistakes of the heroic freedom fighters.
Secretary of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs Tapan Kanti Ghosh said, "We are going to release the list of freedom fighters on March 26. The MIS (Management Information System with full information of freedom fighters) list includes names, bank account information and other errors to see if there are any errors. It has been said that they will do it till March 15."
Meanwhile, about one lakh 40 thousand heroic freedom fighters have been listed online. Besides, certificates of 39 thousand more freedom fighters are being checked and selected. A part of it will also be added at the end of the verification. Therefore, in the list that will be published on March 26, about one lakh 70 thousand freedom fighters can get a place, said the secretary.
He said, "The verification-selection process will continue. Once the verification is completed, those whose credentials are proved to be correct will be added to the list."
The letter sent to DC and UNO said, "Ministry of Liberation War Accreditation of Management Information System (MIS) 3 with the direct cooperation of District (in case of metropolis) and Upazila Administration and Department of Social Services and with full information of real heroic freedom fighters through previously given user ID and password. If any of them have a name as a heroic freedom fighter, his or their information has been inserted, the activities of which are still ongoing. "
The letter said, "If any information (including bank account information) other than the name and father's name of the heroic freedom fighter needs to be corrected to finalize the compiled list of heroic freedom fighters on the basis of MIS and send honorarium as proper bank, it is requested to make necessary corrections by March 15."
At the same time, if there is any abnormal deviation from the name and father's name mentioned in the NID of a heroic freedom fighter and the evidence as a heroic freedom fighter, the opinion of the ministry can be taken if necessary, the letter said.
