Date of heroic freedom fighters, children and teenagers' gathering announced
Own Correspondent, Dhaka, May 10: Freedom fighters have announced to organize a heroic freedom fighter honour, reception and a gathering of children and teenagers under the name 'Muktijuddher Chetonay Bangladesh' (Bangladesh in the spirit of Liberation War).
The event will be held on May 20 at Suhrawardy Udyan in the capital.
The announcement was made at a press conference at the Zahur Hossain Chowdhury Hall at the National Press Club in the capital on Monday (May 9). It will be organized by Dhaka District Freedom Fighters Welfare Society, Gulshan Badda Thana Freedom Fighters Welfare Society, Sector Commanders Forum-Liberation War '71 and Dhaka Metropolitan (North). The event will be managed and hosted by an organization called 'Kadamati'.
In a written statement at the press conference, the heroic freedom fighter Engineer Mohammad Ali said, "Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina has honoured the heroic freedom fighters the most. Sheikh Hasina has taken Bangladesh to the forefront of development. The main purpose of this event is to inform the new generation about all these issues."
Leaders of various organizations were present at the press conference.
