Zafrullah Chowdhury Freedom fighter Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury seriously ill, hospitalized
Dhaka, April 8: Veteran freedom fighter Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury, the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, is seriously ill. He is undergoing treatment at Gonoshasthaya Nagar Hospital in Dhanmondi of the capital. Jahangir Alam Mintu, Press Adviser of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, shared this information to reporters on Friday afternoon.
He said that the founder of Gonoshasthaya Kendra, Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury, is seriously ill. Currently, he is undergoing treatment under Professor Brigadier General (retd.) Dr. Mamun Mostafi, Head of Nephrology Department of Public Health Society Medical College. Renowned doctors of the country including learned doctors of the hospital are taking care of his treatment.
Officials and employees of Gonoshathya Paribar, Gonoshathya Kendra and allied organizations called for prayers to the countrymen for a speedy recovery.
Dr. Zafrullah Chowdhury has been suffering from kidney complications for a long time. He is suffering from old age disease since last few days.
Dr. Chowdhury, a brave freedom fighter, was receiving higher education in London during the liberation war. When the war of liberation started, he stopped his studies and joined the war of liberation and established a hospital in exile for the treatment of wounded freedom fighters.
