Government asks biranganas for information to include names in gazette
Dhaka, October 30: The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has called for the gazette registration of biranganas who fought against the Pakistani aggressors during the 1971 war of independence, an official press release from the ministry notified on Thursday (October 29).
The respective Upazila Nirbahi officers have been asked to submit the application. Necessary documents (NID / Wartime Commander's report / Local Freedom Fighters' report, if any) are asked to be submitted with the application.
It was said in the notification that the Upazila Nirbahi Officers will send the opinion of the Upazila Freedom Fighters Verification and Selection Committee directly to the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs.
Besides, if any other person, organization, researcher, women's organization, NGO has information about Nari Vir Muktijoddha (Birangana), the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has requested to cooperate with the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs in gazetting.
