Freedom Fighters' List Names of 6,988 freedom fighters published in second phase
Dhaka, May 10: The Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has released the second part of the final list of names of heroic freedom fighters. It contains the names of 6,988 heroic freedom fighters from eight divisions. This list can be found on the website of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs. This information was given by the ministry on Sunday (May 9).
The published list includes 1,942 freedom fighters from Dhaka division, 1,347 from Chittagong division, 573 from Barisal division, 770 from Khulna division, 567 from Mymensingh division, 684 from Rajshahi division, 572 from Rangpur division and 533 from Sylhet division.
It is to be noted that the list was not published in the civilian gazette without the approval of the National Freedom Fighter Council (Jamuka). Jamuka's unauthorized gazette will be published at a later time after regularization.
Earlier, on March 25, the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs released the first part of the final list of heroic freedom fighters.
