Bangladesh, Nepal sign four MoUs Bangladesh-Nepal
PID Four agreements were signed between Bangladesh and Nepal in the presence of President Md. Abdul Hamid and President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari at Bangabhaban on Monday.

Dhaka, March 23: Four MoUs have been signed between Bangladesh and Nepal for cooperation after bilateral talks at Bangabhaban on Monday (March 22) evening. President Md. Abdul Hamid and President of Nepal Bidya Devi Bhandari were present on the occasion.

Four MoUs were signed to enhance cooperation between the two countries in various fields including tourism, sanitation, cultural exchange and railway connectivity. The Memorandum of Understanding on Tourism Cooperation was signed on behalf of Bangladesh by Civil Aviation and Tourism Secretary Md. Mokammel Hossain and Nepal's Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation Secretary Yadav Prasad Koirala.

Md. Mesbaul Islam, Senior Secretary, Ministry of Agriculture, Bangladesh and Dinesh Bhattacharya, Secretary, Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies, Nepal signed a Memorandum of Understanding to strengthen Sanitary and Phytosanitary (SPS) cooperation.

Secretary of Cultural Affairs of Bangladesh Badrul Arefin and Secretary of Culture, Tourism and Civil Aviation of Nepal Yadav Prasad Koirala signed a memorandum of understanding on cultural exchange program for the academic year 2022-25.

Secretary of the Ministry of Commerce of Bangladesh Dr. Md. Zafar Uddin and Secretary of the Ministry of Industry, Commerce and Supplies of the Government of Nepal Dinesh Bhattacharya signed the Memorandum of Understanding on Rohanpur-Sigbad Railway Route Reform.

Foreign Minister Dr AK Abdul Momen, Health and Family Welfare Minister Zahid Maleque, Agriculture Minister Dr Abdur Razzak, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi, State Minister for Foreign Affairs Md Shahriar Alam, State Minister for Culture KM Khalid, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md. Mahbub Ali and Usha Kiran Bhandari, daughter of the President of Nepal, and Foreign Minister Pradeep Gyawali were present.

Earlier, the President of Nepal arrived at Bangabhaban and was received by President Md. Abdul Hamid and his wife Rashida Khanam. After the signing ceremony, a cultural program and a state banquet were held.

Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, Speaker of the Jatiya Sangsad Dr Shirin Sharmin Chowdhury, President's wife Rashida Khanam, Chief Justice Syed Mahmud Hossain, cabinet members, senior civil and military officials were present at the banquet.
