Bangladesh wants to move forward with mutual cooperation: Palak at G-20 conference

Bengaluru, August 19: State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak said that Bangladesh wants to move forward with the mutual cooperation of various countries and organizations including India in various sectors including railways, education, health, judiciary, agriculture, technology. He said this at a round table meeting on Digital Public Infrastructure for Vibrant Digital Economy in India's Bangalore on Friday.

The round table meeting was organized at the G-20 Forum of developed and developing economies of the world. State Minister Zunaid Ahmed Palak discussed as the representative of Bangladesh. In the meeting, he highlighted the importance of digital public infrastructure for a vibrant digital economy.

The round table meeting was attended by Ashwini Vaishnab, Union Minister of Railways, Electronics and Information Technology of India, representatives of various G-20 countries and various international organizations including United Nations, UNDP.

In the meeting, negotiators from different countries highlighted the importance of DPI in the digital economy. Apart from this, various technology sharing, policy, cyber security including agriculture, education, health, judiciary, fintech technology, mutual cooperation and creation of multilateral and global problem solving platform were discussed through the open platform.

The G20 is a forum of developed and developing economies of the world. Consisting of 19 countries and the EU, the forum is a platform for discussion on global issues such as global economy as well as climate change mitigation and sustainable development.
