Indian PM Narendra Modi thanks Dhaka for excellent arrangements during recent trip

Dhaka, April 6: Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi thanked Dhaka for its "excellent arrangements" during his recent two-day state visit on March 26 and 27.

"I am writing a letter to the Foreign Minister of Bangladesh, Dr. AK Abdul Momen, to thank him for the excellent organization of my recent visit to Bangladesh," the foreign ministry said in a statement.

Modi held a bilateral meeting with Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina on the occasion of the birth anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence.

In the letter, Modi wrote, "I would like to congratulate the Government of Bangladesh for the excellent and perfect organization of the celebration of March 26 on the occasion of the birth centenary of Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and the golden jubilee of independence."

The Indian Prime Minister also recalled his meeting with Foreign Minister Momen. "It's nice to be able to interact with you (Momen) during this visit," Modi wrote.
