Modi meets Sharif; talks tough on terrorism, 26th 11
New Delhi, May 27: Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Tuesday met his Pakistani counterpart Nawaz Sharif at Hyderabad House here and reportedly talked tough on cross-border terror and the "slow" 26/11 trial in their nearly 50 minutes meeting.
According to sources, Modi had a five-point agenda for his talks with Sharif.
He reportedly told Sharif that there must be an end to terror attacks and that Pakistan should not tolerate terrorism on its soil.
The issue of 26/11 attack on Mumbai and its slow trial in Pakistan was raked up by Modi, who said Pakistan still has not taken any action against the masterminds.
One report said the issue of terrorist and underworld don Dawood Ibrahim also figured but there is no official confirmation yet.
Meanwhile, Sharif said his meeting with Modi has been "excellent".
"The meeting was excellent. We are positive. We are looking forward to a positive outcome," he told CNN-IBN.
No joint statement has been made yet.
Sharif was present at the swearing-in ceremony of Modi on Monday evening along with other SAARC leaders.
Sharif was accompanied by National Security and Foreign Affairs Advisor Sartaj Aziz, Special Assistant to PM Ambassador Tariq Fatemi and Foreign Secretary Aizaz Ahmed Chaudhary during his meeting with Modi.
Sharif was present at the swearing-in ceremony of Modi on Monday evening along with other SAARC leaders.
