Srinagar, Oct 8: Indian Army Chief General Bikram Singh on Tuesday said Pakistan is behind infiltration attempts along the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir.

"We have had evidence of Pakistan army\'s involvement for a long time," General Singh was quoted as saying by NDTV.

"My assessment is that the infiltration will continue. They want to push as many terrorists as possible before winter," he said.

After a gunbattle that lasted 15 days, the Indian Army on Tuesday declared their operation is over against alleged Pakistani infiltrators along the LoC in Keran sector in the Kashmir Valley.

The Army also released aerial pictures of the terrorists killed in the encounter.

"We have recovered a large cache of arms and ammunition from Keran sector," Brigadier Gerneral Staff Colonel Sanjay Mitra told reporters.

The Indian Army battled against 30-40 militants who had infiltrated in the Keran sector, which is located about 100 km from Srinagar.
