Peshawar, Jan 16: At least eight people were killed in a bomb blast in Pakistan's Peshawar city on Thursday, reports said.

 The blast, which occurred at a religious place in the city, left more than 50 others injured.

"The explosion ripped through the Tableeghi Markaz located on Charsaddah Road when at least 800 worshipers were offering prayer," Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) Najib-ur-Rehman told Geo News.

The injured people were taken to a hospital.

No group has claimed responsibility for the attack so far.
