Sheikh Hasina pays tribute to Mahatma Gandhi at Rajghat
Own Correspondent, New Delhi, Sept 6: Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, who is in India on a four-day visit, paid her respects at the mausoleum of Mahatma Gandhi, the foremost leader of India's freedom movement, in New Delhi. On Tuesday (September 6) morning, she paid tribute by placing a wreath at Rajghat in New Delhi.
After laying the wreath, the Prime Minister stood in silence for a while to pay respect to the memory of Mahatma Gandhi. Later she signed the visitors' book there.
Meanwhile, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina was formally given a guard of honour at Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi in the morning. Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi welcomed her there before giving her a guard of honour. Sheikh Hasina later held a bilateral meeting with the Prime Minister of India.
