2nd T20I: Zimbabwe win toss, Shamim Hossain to make debut

Harare, July 23: Hosts Zimbabawe has decided to bat first after winning the toss in the second T20 international game against Bangladesh at the Harare Sports Club on Friday.

Meanwhile, Bangladesh has handed out the debut international cap to batting allrounder Shamim Hossain.

In the first game, which took place on Thursday, Bangladesh chased down 153 runs in 18.5 overs by losig only 2 wickets.

Opener Soumya Sarkar was adjudged the Man of the Match for his allround performance.

Sarkar scored 50 runs in 45 balls, forging a maiden wicket partnership of 102 runs with Mohammad Naim (63 not out). However, before displaying his batting prowess, Sarkar picked up a wicket and took a catch, as Zimbabwe were bowled out for 152 runs in the 19th over.

For Zimbabwe, wicket-keeper Regis Chakabva top scored with 43 runs. Dion Myers scored 35 runs off 22 balls to provide assistance.

Bangladesh's Mustafizur Rahman picked up three wickets, supported by Saifuddin and Shoriful Islam who picked up two wickets each.
