Dhaka, November 7: Cricketer Shakib Al Hasan has said that the one-year-long ban and coronavirus have given him new perspectives in life.

He took a small matter very lightly.

The world's best ODI all-rounder thought it would be okay if he remained silent.

Shakib Al Hasan's thought became a nightmare for him in the end. After receiving the offer of fixing, he did not inform anyone about the matter to anyone.

Not the ICC, not even the BCB. That is why the ICC had taken the matter very seriously. In the end, even though he was able to escape from the big ban, Shakib was given a one-year ban. Although the ban was officially imposed for 2 years. But the ICC lifted the one-year ban for co-operating in the investigation.

Shakib was released from the ban on October 29. Now he is free. You can land on the playground at any time. Shakib Al Hasan returned to Dhaka from the United States on Thursday night for that purpose. The Bangabandhu T20 tournament is scheduled to start from November 15. Shakib is scheduled to return to the field with that tournament.

Earlier, Shakib answered various questions of journalists on his YouTube channel. There he made it clear, "Let no one (any cricketer) take anything lightly. Especially the issues of cricket corruption. If there is any suggestion of fixing, it should be informed to the concerned department immediately."

When the ICC announced Shakib's sentence last year, they also publicly presented evidence of Indian gambler Deepak Hooda's contact with him at the same time.

The ICC also presented evidence that Deepak Hooda had been talking to Shakib on WhatsApp since November 2017.

Shakib said on the YouTube channel, "I have suffered remorse after being banned. I'm sorry. In no way should I have made such a mistake. I think I have learned a great lesson from this. I request everyone to never make such a mistake. Whenever such a situation arises, you will be left to your own devices under the ICC Code of Conduct. It is better not to take the matter lightly, but to inform the concerned department quickly."

Shakib also told what to do in such a situation. "You should, of course, report the matter to an anti-corruption officer," he said. "Weather that officer is local or international."
