Bangladesh cricket team leave Dhaka for Asia Cup

Own Correspondent, Dhaka, August 24: The Shakib al Hasan-led Bangladesh team left Dhaka on Tuesday for the Asia Cup.

Bangladesh team's plane took off from Dhaka's Shahjalal International Airport around 5 pm.

However, opener Enamul Haque Bijoy and pacer Taskin Ahmed could not go with the team due to visa complications. They will board the flight to Dubai tomorrow, Wednesday, subject to visa approval. Besides, team boy Bulbul also could not go with the team for the same reason.

Meanwhile, Naeem Sheikh, who was called up to the Asia Cup team at the last minute, has already reached Dubai. After completing the series from Saint Lucia, he caught a flight to the United Arab Emirates.

Mushfiq-Riyadh is scheduled to camp for a few days after arriving in the United Arab Emirates. After that, the Tigers will face Afghanistan on August 30 in their first match in the group stage of the Asia Cup. The second and final match will be played against Sri Lanka on September 1.
