Bangladesh cricket team reach Christchurch for New Zealand tour

Dhaka, February 24: The Bangladesh cricket team reached Christchurch, New Zealand on Wednesday morning (Bangladesh time). The team boarded a Singapore Airlines flight to New Zealand at 4pm on Tuesday.

The 20-member cricket team was accompanied by another 15-member staff, coaching staff. The huge fleet will first observe a week-long quarantine in Christchurch. Then practice.

The three-match ODI series against hosts New Zealand will start on March 20. The Tigers will then play a three-match T20 series.

Bangladesh team went to New Zealand without Shakib Al Hasan. Shakib, who is awaiting the birth of his third child, has taken leave to stay by his wife's side. In the meantime, he has travelled to the United States.

The Tigers will hold a five-day special preparation camp in Queenstown at the end of the quarantine. Then the three-match ODI series will start from March 20.

The first ODI will be in Dunedin. Then on March 23 the second ODI in Christchurch. The last ODI is on March 26 in Wellington.

After the ODI series, the T20 series will start on March 28 in Hamilton. The second T20 match will be played in Napier on March 30. The third and final T20 of the series on April 1 in Auckland.
