Bangladesh defeats India in Asia Cup World Rankings Archery to bag second gold

Dhaka, March 19: Roman Sana and Nasreen Akhter won Bangladesh's first gold in Stage One of the Asia Cup World Ranking Archery in Phuket, Thailand on Saturday. Three archers of Bangladesh - Dia Siddiqui, Nasreen Akhter and Famida Sultana Nisha won gold in the recurve women's team by defeating India by 5-4 set points at noon. With this, Bangladesh has won two golds.

Another gold of Bangladesh is sure. Dia Siddiqui and Nasreen Akhter will face in the All Bangladesh final.

Gold was tied at the tiebreaker when the result was a 4-4 draw against India in the final of the recurve women's team event. In tiebreaker, Bangladesh defeated India by 28-27 points. In the first set, Bangladesh lost by 47-48 points. In the next set, Bangladesh won by 54-45 points. Bangladesh won the third set by 60-56 points.

In the fourth set, India won by 56-50 points to take the final to a tiebreaker. In a breathtaking tiebreaker, Bangladesh secured gold by defeating India by 26-27 points.
