ODI Series Bangladesh register 10-wicket victory, win series 2-0
Dhaka, March 23: Several records were made during the recently concluded three-match ODI series between hosts Bangladesh and visitors Ireland. After scoring their highest ODI score in the rain affected second match, the Tigers recorded their first 10-wicket victory in the third match.
Set a modest target of 102 runs, Tamim Iqbal (41) and Litton Das (50) remained unbeated while chasing down the score in 13.1 overs.
Earlier, Ireland won the toss and decided t0 bat first.
Apart from Lorcan Tucker (28) and Curtis Campher (36), none of the Irish batters scored in double digits.
For Bangladesh, Hasan Mahmud picked up five wickets and was adjudged the Player of the Match.
Taskin Ahmed and Ebador Hossain picked up three and two wickets respectively as the visitors were bowled out in 28.1 overs.
For his stellar performace with the bat, Mushfiqur Rahim was adjudged the Player of the Series.
Rahim had hit an unbeaten century in the second ODI in just 60 balls. Unfortunately for him, the match yielded no result due to rain.
With this, Bangladesh won the seties 2-0.
