Bangladesh team to visit Sri Lanka by travelling in a chartered flight

Mominul Haque's team will leave Dhaka for Sri Lanka on a chartered flight of Bangladesh Biman Airlines tomorrow at 12:30 pm to play this two-match Test series.

A reliable source from the Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) confirmed the matter to Risingbd on Saturday.

According to the source, the 21-member squad will include a total of 40 to 41 people including coaching staff-support staff and BCB officials.

The BCB on Friday announced a large squad of 21 members for the tour of Sri Lanka. According to the tour schedule, the Bangladesh team is scheduled to play a warm-up match among themselves; That is why the selectors have announced a big party. Moreover, Sri Lanka will not provide net bowlers, so additional bowlers have been included in the squad.

After arriving in Sri Lanka on the 12th, Mominul Haque will be in room quarantine for three days. Then the field practice will start. The preparation match will be on April 17-18.

Regarding quarantine, BCB chief executive Nizam Uddin Chowdhury Sujan said, "The first three days we have planned are room quarantine, then the practice will continue. After that a practice match has been arranged between our players. '

The two Test matches of the tour will be played at the Pallekele International Cricket Stadium near Kandy. Bangladesh will play this first Test even though they have played ODIs and T20s before. The first test will start on April 21, the second test on April 29.

The Bangladesh national cricket team last played a Test in Sri Lanka in 2016. Despite losing the first Test of the season, the Red and Greens won their 100th Test in the second match.
